Celebrate Washburn Baseball

Baseball was the first athletic team organized at Washburn. The first games were played in March 1879 in a doubleheader against the University of Kansas. The teams split, each winning a game.

Join the Washburn Alumni Association for a tailgate party. The tailgate is free for dues-paid members. (Please bring your membership card.) Others can attend for $5 per person. Children under 12 years will be admitted for free. Please RSVP to the alumni association by May 2.
