Cortney Immenschuh is pursuing a bachelor of fine arts degree at Washburn. Of this piece, she writes: “I used color and a minimalist approach to create a small part of the beauty I saw. I saw something in this small spot that stood out against the rest of the beauty. A small spot of rebellion, you could say, that waited for an opportunity to shine.” She is donating 50 percent of the proceeds from “Mulvane Garden” to the sesquicentennial fund.
