The beauty of Washburn University's campus has been captured in "Paint Washburn," an exhibit of 37 pieces created by 33 artists at the Art en Plein Aire event on Washburn's campus. The art will be available for purchase at the Paint Washburn Art Auction beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17. The auction will take place in the Washburn Room of the Memorial Union.
In addition to the auction, the evening includes music, food and drink. Cocktail attire is preferred. Tickets are $50 per person and reservations were required by Nov. 9. All proceeds from the auction will support a permanent, commissioned art piece in recognition of Washburn's sesquicentennial.
Preview the "Paint Washburn" exhibit in person now through Nov. 15 at the Mulvane Art Museum, 17th Street and Jewell Avenue.
The Paint Washburn Art Auction is one in a series of events leading up to Washburn's sesquicentennial is 2015.
