
Who
This year's juror, Endi Poskovik, accepted 87 works by 59 artists (19 of which are from Kansas) from 322 entries submitted by 61 artists from 29 states. Poskovic grew up in Sarajevo, Bosnia, trained in folkloric music, studied art in Norway, and earned his MFA from State University of New York at Buffalo. His bold and dramatic woodcuts mix narrative and memory landscapes from personal and social histories. His work is exhibited internationally, and he has lectured extensively throughout the United States and abroad. Formerly Associate Professor at Whittier College in Los Angeles, Poskovic now teaches in the School of Art and Design at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan.
What
A national, juried, biannual exhibition that brings the best in contemporary printmaking to Topeka. The works comprising the exhibit are on display at the Alice C. Sabatini Gallery at the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library and the Mulvane Art Museum.
