Community projects providing unique content about Kansas
The emmy-award winning public television station is licensed to Washburn University. As demonstrated by several local television programs such as “Sunflower Journeys” and “I’ve Got Issues” as well as community projects, KTWU provides unique content about Kansas, its people, history and spirit. KTWU opened its building on the Washburn campus in 1994. Trivia: KTWU began broadcasting in 1965 as the first public television station in Kansas.
