The Newest Building on Campus
The Art Building is the newest to be built on the Washburn campus. It opened in June 2005 and has four specialty studios: Printmaking, sculpture, painting and ceramics. There also is a photo darkroom. Washburn's art department offers both Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees. Trivia: Harvey Garden, just outside the Art Building, has a Japanese flair. Its pond is stocked with Koi and it is common to see frogs and turtles as well.
