International Programs & Study Abroad
What is now the International House opened in 1931 as the residence of former university president Parley Womer and his wife. Today it is home to international programs and study abroad. Students from several foreign countries are directly enrolled at Washburn and the University sends hundreds of students abroad annually for year-long, semester, or short-term programs. Trivia: For years, this building was known as Casa del Womer because of its Spanish architecture and original residents.
