Departments of Kinesiology and Athletic Training, the School of Nursing and Washburn Athletics
The Petro Allied Health Center is home to the departments of kinesiology and athletic training, the School of Nursing and Washburn Athletics. It is named for Kelsey and Edna Petro and opened in 1983. In addition to classrooms, Lee Arena, locker rooms and offices, Petro is home to the Garrett Natatorium (indoor pool) and a dance studio. Trivia: Since 2005 the Washburn School of Nursing’s mobile health clinic travels hundreds of miles each year providing health screening and education.
