APPLICATION DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 15th
SCHOOL OF APPLIED STUDIES ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a current application at Washburn University; must be a declared major in a School of Applied Studies program.
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 (specific scholarships may require higher GPAs).
- Applicants will be considered for all SAS scholarships for which s/he is eligible.
- Deadline is February 15th.
- To receive the SAS scholarship, recipients must be properly enrolled at Washburn University for the academic award year and write a "thank-you" to the donor(s) acknowledging receipt of the award.
SCHOOL OF APPLIED STUDIES SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION ATTACHMENTS
- A resume including: employment, education, professional activities, honors, recognitions, community activities, and professional memberships
- A narration of the events of circumstances which convinced the applicant to major in the particular area, the applicant's professional goals, and a statement outlining how the applicant would benefit from being awarded a scholarship.
- An official transcript in a sealed envelope for the following students:
- New/Incoming direct from high school students to Washburn, include transcript from the high school and each College/University attended
- Transfer students new to Washburn, transcript from each College/University attended
- Electronic submissions will not be accepted
SCHOOL OF APPLIED STUDIES SCHOLARSHIP PROCEDURES
- To assure consideration, a completed application form, resume, typed narration, and transcripts (if applicable) must be received in Benton 306 by February 15th for the next full academic year. Scholarships are awarded for a full academic year beginning with the fall semester.
- Electronic submissions will not be accepted
- The SAS School Scholarship Committee will make recommendations to the SAS Dean.
- The names of scholarship recipients will be forwarded to the Financial Aid Office.
