If I was not a professor, I would: supervise a public health microbiology lab.  Disease outbreak investigations are always fascinating like a detective story and rewarding in helping to restore health to people and the community.

One piece of advice that students should know: Undergraduate education is hard work and requires a lot of study time outside of class.  I know this is hard for today's working students, but it's the route to success.
