Summer Vocal Theatre Camp at Washburn

July 5-8, 2017

Welcome to the inaugural season of the Washburn University Summer Vocal Theatre Camp, where singing goes onstage!

Spend four days after the long July 4th weekend obtaining vocal training, including musical coaching, principles of bel canto singing technique, singer’s lyric diction, musicianship, and connecting to text. Elements of theatre training will include, stage movement, improvisation, dramatic text readings, stage makeup seminar, and dramatic staging of solos and small ensembles. Individual attention will be given and master class format will be utilized, in addition to group instruction.

Vocal Theatre Camp will be a day camp in its inaugural season. Tuition will include daily lunch, a stage makeup kit, and a commemorative t-shirt. Register Now.

Who can attend?

WU Summer Vocal Theatre Camp is for students in grades 7-12. No prior private instruction in voice is necessary, just an eagerness to sing and be onstage.

What is the cost?

WU Summer Vocal Theatre Camp tuition is $275 and should be paid in full by June 16. A $50.00 non-refundable deposit is included in the tuition fees. Tuition must be paid in full with camp registration. Cancellations will be refunded in full, minus the $50 non-refundable deposit.

Tuition payments can be made online with a credit/debit card upon registration at WU Vocal Theatre Camp Registration. After completing the online registration, you will be directed if you wish to pay the tuition fee online by credit/debit card.  You will also have the option upon registration to send a check or money order payable to Washburn University Music Department to:
