The Washburn Women's Choir

Open, by audition, to both majors and non-majors membership is based upon appropriate vocal range and quality. The Women's Chorus focuses on the fundamentals of proper choral singing and a wide range of literature. The ensemble performs several times a year on and off campus. In fall 2005 the chorus performed a world premiere with the Washburn String Orchestra of Tituba! Voices in the Dark, at Grace Episopal Cathedral in Topeka. The Women's Chorus was invited to sing at the Kansas Music Educators Association (KMEA) In-Service workshop in Wichita, February 2006.
