Spring Awakening    

Music by Duncan Sheik     Book and Lyrics by Steven Sater

A collaboration with Helen Hocker Center for the Performing Arts.

Haunting and electrifying, this alternative/folk-rock musical based on Frank Wedekind's 1891 controversial drama of teenage angst, sexual longing and 'coming of age', is as passionate and frightening as it was when the play was first produced. Winner of eight 2007 Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Music, the 2010 Oliver Award for Best New Musical and a 2008 Grammy.
