Director, Nursing Services (Vice President level)

This nursing executive will have responsibility for nine departments and the opportunity to partner with the Executive Director (President level) of University Hospital and Service Lines to develop, launch, and grow the Neuroscience Service Line.  This leader will transform the Float Pool model to mimic the function of an outside agency and will be responsible for the development, implementation, opening and growth of a new Surgical Floor and Observation Unit.  Progressive leadership experience in an academic or teaching hospital, with a BSN or MSN; graduate degree is required.  Candidates from diverse backgrounds are enthusiastically encouraged to apply.

RN

The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, supervising, and evaluating the nursing care of patients and for integrating the nursing process and the medical plan of care. He/she collaborates with the patient, family and other members of the health care team. Oversees the activities of other nursing staff members on the unit and reports to the Director of Nursing/Administrator.

To be considered a qualified candidate, you must be a graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing , BSN preferred with a valid nursing license from the State of Kansas.

Communicates with physicians and team members about changes in patients' conditions.
