The Leadership Studies Minor is a way to complement your major program with leadership education and experience. The minor is designed to be completed while earning a bachelor's degree, so students in all majors and degree programs can pursue this program.
The focus of the Leadership Studies Minor is to teach students about leadership and prepare them to exercise effective leadership by providing them with hands-on leadership experience.
To earn a Leadership Studies Minor, students must complete 18 credit hours of coursework, including the Leadership Institute's required four core courses, which equates to 12 credit hours of coursework, and 6 credit hours of elective courses from one of four thematic tracks.
As you pursue the Leadership Studies Minor, be sure to follow the detailed Guidelines for the Minor.
The Leadership Institute and the School of Nursing collaborate to provide a program of study that integrates the leadership concepts covered in nursing courses into the leadership curriculum.
