Community Partnerships

United Way of Topeka

The Leadership Institute has partnered with the United Way for nearly ten years to provide leadership training for new members of a non-profit board of directors.

2009

  • Shanna Bruce – project improved the training process and enhanced the experience for all participants at the Volunteer Center of the United Way. The project used primary research with former participants and instructors to enhance course content and add variety to class format and instruction delivery

2012

  • Kelli Coldiron – project determined the costs associated with achieving the United Way’s 10-year Impact Council goals
  • Sarah Lemmon – project consisted of being the United Way’s Communications specialists intern for the semester.
