Favorite Leadership Institute Memory
My favorite Institute memory was my first SLC Retreat. I was a brand new freshman and it was such a blessing to meet so many tremendous upperclassmen who are leaders on campus! The group really took me in and I felt loved and welcomed at the Institute. I look up to the students on the SLC and LCE Teams so much.
Lessons Learned from Leadership Institute
The lesson I've learned most is a very personal one. I've learned that the best Leaders are the ones who aren't perfect. The best leaders are humble servants, they don't need to have the spotlight or constant affirmation. Their confidence comes from within. The best leaders make a point to develop leadership skills and pour into those around them.
Favorite Part of Being in the Leadership Institute
My favorite part of WULI is the people, hands down. I absolutely love my classmates, instructors, fellow council members my PAL, Tionna. The students in the Leadership Institute bring so much to the table-- diversity, passion, character and humor of course! I’ve made some great friends and some great memories here.
