As you become an Ichabod, all first-year students are invited to Washburn University’s Opening Convocation 4:00 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2013 in White Concert Hall. Convocation is the traditional beginning of an academic year, where you as a member of the Class of 2017 are officially welcomed into the Washburn community of learning. President Jerry Farley leads the ceremony as we begin to develop your identity as an Ichabod. Later that evening is the special Washburn Traditions event in Yager Stadium. It is a Washburn welcome that you will not want to miss!
