Self Study Introduction

We participated in a comprehensive self-study to demonstrate institutional effectiveness and provide evidence we meet the Higher Learning Commission's critera for accreditation. This process culminated with the Institutional Actions Council vote to continue the University's accreditation.

We selected the theme of "change" for our self-study. This theme reflected all the changes which occurred at Washburn during the decade leading up to the site visit in May 2008.

Measure...See...Be the change reflects our approach to the the self-study process. The active and thoughtful involvement of the university community helped to ensure the self-study process provided useful insights as Washburn engages in the ongoing pursuit of excellence. We also benefited from the feedback provided by the consultant evaluators who served on the visiting team. The analysis presented in the team report reflects the team's evaluation of our institutional effectiveness and advice from our peers for the future.
