SUBJECT: Window Replacement Kuehne and West Hall - Project #C05052
DESCRIPTION: Kuehne Hall was constructed in 1979. West Hall was constructed in 1981. The windows are original to the structures and are metal clad wooden. A portion of the interior wood is rotten. None of the windows have bug screens and the locking devices are broken or missing. At this time, the windows could be opened from the outside causing security issues within sleeping areas for the students.
Bids were received for the Window Replacement; the lower bid was $70,880.00. Capital Improvement funds of $139,000 were budgeted in FY 2004-2005 to do this project.

An expenditure of $70,880.00, from the FY 2004-2005 Capital Improvement Account.
RECOMMENDATION:
President Farley recommends the Board of Regents approve award of a contract to Kendall Construction for Window Replacement at Kuehne and West Halls.
