Washburn University Board of Regents

SUBJECT: Permission to Grant Tenure

DESCRIPTION: In accordance to the approval granted at the October 2004 meeting, the School of Business has hired Robert Weigand as Professor of Finance and Brenneman Professor of Business Strategy. We now request that he be granted tenure. This action must be taken separately because tenure requires an affirmative action by the Board.

Dr. Weigand had a terminal degree and was promoted and tenured at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Both his teaching and research experience is of the highest quality. He has also served on many committees at the institutional, community and professional levels. Overall his exceptional record clearly demonstrates his merits for tenure. The search committee, the Dean of the School of Business and the VPAA all concur and recommend Robert Weigand for tenure. A copy of Dr Weigand's CV is available in the VPAA's office for the Board members to view.
