SUBJECT: Classroom Renovations

DESCRIPTION:

As part of the 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 budget process, the Board approved funding for classroom renovations. The renovations, which include ceiling tiles, grids, carpeting, floor tile, light fixtures, and marker boards, will improve the appearance and functionality of the classrooms.

The following classrooms will be renovated:

Morgan Hall Rooms 137, 159, 176, 180, 259, 260

Henderson Learning Resources Center Rooms 100, 102, 103, 104, 112, 203, 204, 207, 208

Proposals were submitted from the following vendors:

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:

An expenditure of $249,200 from the FY 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 classroom renovation allocations in the Capital Improvement Fund is requested.

RECOMMENDATION:

President Farley recommends approval to award a contract to Senne & Company, Inc. in the amount of $249,200.00
