SUBJECT: ART HISTORY EMPHASIS IN THE BACHELOR OF FINE ARTS

DESCRIPTION:

Because of national trends, the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD, the accrediting organization of Washburn's Art Department) has approved and recommended this combined BFA Degree, that permits students to pursue an emphasis in Art History in addition to the required studio courses. The complete proposal is attached.

The University Council approved the proposal on January 13, 2004.

The proposal was approved by the General Faculty on January 29, 2004.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: None
