SUBJECT: Capital Projects from the Debt Retirement and Construction Fund
DESCRIPTION:
Each year in May, the Board approves the lists of proposed capital maintenance, other equipment, and electronic technology equipment from the Debt Retirement and Construction (DR&C) Fund. This year's lists are attached and will be funded from current year (FY06) DR&C Fund revenues.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
A five-year history of the DR&C fund and the projected financial results for the DR&C Fund showing the proposed expenditures for FY07 funded by revenues from FY06 is attached.
A new method is being used this year to allocate ETC funds which has been based on an allocation of $600,000. The amount allocated to ETC purchases from the DR&C Fund each year has been $400,000. We are requesting an additional $200,000 be allocated from the FY 06 General Fund from available one-time funds.
RECOMMENDATION:
President Farley recommends approval of the projects and equipment for FY 2007 funded by the FY 2006 DR&C fund revenues and the transfer of $200,000 from the General Fund as detailed in the attachments.
