Washburn University Board of Regents

SUBJECT: Faculty/Staff Personnel Actions

DESCRIPTION: The School of Law wishes to hire Michael Hunter Schwartz Professor with Tenure. Tenure status at Washburn University must be approved by the Washburn University Board of Regents.

According to Dean Honabach, Professor Schwartz has already met the standards for academic tenure at two other law schools. His record of teaching, scholarship and service meets and exceeds those standards as construed by Washburn University. Dean Honabach believes that he will be an outstanding addition to the Washburn community, and therefore recommends that he be hired as a tenured professor of law.

The Vice President for Academic Affairs concurs with this recommendation.

RECOMMENDATION: President Farley recommends approval of these personnel actions.
