SUBJECT: REVISION TO THE PASS/FAIL POLICY FOR UNDERGRADUATE COURSES

DESCRIPTION:

The Pass/Fail Policy is in need of revision to clarify the period during which students may change status (from pass/fail to graded or vice-versa). The University Council after consideration and discussion proposed the attached policy revision. This proposal addresses the time period issue, but also modified to creates an A/Pass/Fail policy.

The proposal is attached.

The University Council approved the revision on April 13, 2004.

The revision was approved by the General Faculty on May 13, 2004.

RECOMMENDATION:

President Farley recommends Board of Regents approval of the revision to the Pass/Fail Policy for Undergraduate Courses.
