SUBJECT: Center for Community Service and Service Learning

DESCRIPTION: Create budget for newly created Center for Community Service and Service Learning in support of the Transformational Experience. Create position of Director and the Coordinator.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: $90,000 transfer from Human Services department budget. Both positions are partially funded from the recently awarded Innovation Grant and from General Funds.

Operating expenses will be funded from the Innovation Grant and from Transformational Experience funds as appropriate.

Funding sources for positions:

Director position, 000343, $80,000 existing general funds and $10,000 Innovation Grant funds.

Coordinator position, 000864, $10,000 general funds and $28,000 Innovation Grant

funds.

RECOMMENDATION: President Farley recommends approval.
