SUBJECT: REVISION TO B.S. IN COMPUTER INFORMATION SCIENCE





Description:

Students pursuing a B.S. in Computer Information Science now must choose one of the following:

MA 310, Operations Research

MA 330, Math Models

MA 343, Applied Statistics

MA 344, Math Statistics



However, MA 330 is now a capstone course and MA 344 has MA 343 as a prerequisite.



The Department of Computer Information Science proposes removing MA 330 and MA 344 from the list. Students would then choose between MA 310 and 343.



The General Faculty approved the proposal on May 4, 2006.





FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:





RECOMMENDATION:

President Farley recommends Board of Regents approval of the proposal for the revision to the B.S. in Computer Information Science.
