Permission to designate Dr. Teresita Leyell Professor Emeritus.
Dr. Leyell has retired after 24 years of service to Washburn University. She has taught a variety of courses in production and operations management and in the information systems area. She was instrumental in the development of and was the coordinator of the Management Information Systems course. Her development of the School's database and her leadership in the technology area helped lead the School of Business to AACSB accreditation. Her service to the University includes many years on both the School's and the University's electronic technology committees. She was instrumental in a variety of the School's curriculum committee initiatives and has been very active in the area of international education at the University level. In 1995, she was awarded the Herrick Award for Outstanding Service for her accomplishments. Most of all, she was dedicated to her students and all students through her 24 years at Washburn University.
