SUBJECT: Video and Editing Analysis System for the Athletic Department

DESCRIPTION:

The Athletic Department is requesting approval to purchase a video editing and analysis system for the football team. The system consists of one laptop editor/recorder with a wireless video unit, all necessary software, five laptop coaching stations, two server/master editors, with on-site training and installation. The system provided by Advance Imaging Solutions has a trademarked software feature which, following completion of a game, the entire video of the game is completely analyzed with team specific data attached to the video ready for review. It results in a substantial time savings for the coaching staff. The system simultaneously records multiple camera angles of a game into a central digital database.

The system provided by Advance Imaging Solutions has unique, trademarked features. Rather than submit a sole source purchase request, proposals were requested but only one response was received.

President Farley recommends approval to award a contract to Advance Imaging Solutions, Inc, DBA Game Plan.
