SUBJECT: Entry Rates for Bargaining Unit Positions



DESCRIPTION:



Earlier the Board of Regents adopted entry rates for University classified employees, other than those in positions represented by the United Steelworkers of America Local 307L-4, to become effective July 1, 2005. As provided by the terms of the current Memorandum of Agreement between the University and Local 307L-4, the administration recently concluded negotiations with union representatives for the entry rates for the positions within the bargaining unit. The increase in entry rates is consistent with those for the other classified employees.



Attached is the listing of positions and new entry rates to become effective August 1, 2005.



FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:



Funding of proposed entry rates are within existing budgeted funds for fiscal year 2006



RECOMMENDATION: President Farley recommend approval of the entry rates proposed.
