SUBJECT: Classroom Renovations

DESCRIPTION:

As part of the 2004-2005, 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 budget process, the Board approved funding for classroom renovations. The renovations, which include ceiling tiles, grids, carpeting, floor tile, light fixtures and markerboards, will improve the appearance and functionality of the classrooms.

The following classrooms in Henderson are scheduled to be renovated:

HC6, HC8, HC118, HC303, HC304, HC307 and HC308

Proposals were submitted from the following vendors:

Bob Florence Contractor, Inc -- See attached bid tab

Senne and Company -- See attached bid tab

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:

An expenditure of $114,000, from the Classroom Renovation allocations in the Capital Improvement Fund is requested.

RECOMMENDATION:

President Farley recommends the Board of Regents approve award of a contract to Senne and Company in the amount of $114,000.
