SUBJECT: Personnel Action -- Director of Residential Living

DESCRIPTION:

Interviews are currently being conducted with candidates for the position of Director of Residential Living with the hope of being able to offer the position to the successful candidate during the month of September 2006.

Current budget for the position is $43,008. The university seeks to recruit a Director with a higher level of skills and experience than currently anticipated in the budget. The university seeks budget authority to create a salary range for the position at between $43,000 and $57,000.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:

Housing is a self-funded auxiliary function with funds available from operations.

RECOMMENDATION:

President Farley recommends the Board of Regents authorize a budget adjustment to provide a salary range for the Director of Residential Living at $43,000 to $57,000.
