SUBJECT: Roof Replacement Garvey Fine Arts Center - Project C05015

DESCRIPTION: This roof is a PVC roof over an existing tar and gravel roof. There are a number of tears and holes in the existing roof which produce leaks with each rain causing damage inside the building. This will continue to be a problem until the roof is replaced.

Two bids were received for the Roof Replacement; the low bid was $167,000. Capital Improvement funds of $180,000 were budgeted in FY 2004-2005 to do this project.

Guilfoyle Roofing $ 167,000.00

Vincent Roofing $ 176,900.00

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:

An expenditure of $167,000., from the FY 2004-2005 Capital Improvement Account.

RECOMMENDATION:

President Farley recommends the Board of Regents approve the award of a contract to Guilfoyle Roofing to replace the roof over Garvey Fine Arts Center.
