SUBJECT: Replace A/C Condensing Units - Projects #C06067, C006049 & C06037
DESCRIPTION: Three of our existing A/C Condensing units represent a high risk for failure due the equipment age and available spare parts. To provide reliable air conditioning service it is necessary to replace all of these (3) A/C Condensing units.

Law School =Over 40 Years
Carnegie Hall =Over 30 Years
Benton Hall =Over 30 Years
Proposals were received for the replacement of all (3) A/C Condensing units; the low bid was $72,753.00.

Total cost for 3 Condensers $72,753.00 76,160.00 $80,754.00 $100,345.00
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
An expenditure of $72,753.00, from the FY 2006 Capital Improvement Accounts is requested. The approved capital funds available are: C06037 $25,000.00
C06049 $30,000.00
C06067 $25,000.00
This provides Total budgeted funds for these projects of $80,000.00
RECOMMENDATION:
President Farley recommends the Board of Regents approve award of a contract to McElroy's to replace the A/C Condensing Units at the Law School, Benton Hall & Carnegie Hall.
