SUBJECT: Faculty Personnel
On June 30, 2000, Nancy L. Dinneen will retire after 28 years of service to Washburn University in the Department of International Studies. She received her B.A. from Smith College and her M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Kansas, in Spanish.
Nancy is an outstanding teacher, much loved by her students; some still go out of their way to keep in touch with her. Over the years she has always taught overloads and done so without ever complaining. She likes what she does, has a good rapport with her students and her colleagues and will be truly missed.
For her long and distinguished career, for her tireless commitment to generations of undergraduate students, for her patient tutoring in beginning language courses, for her many contributions to the well being of the university, Nancy Dinneen is recommended to be honored with the title Assistant Professor Emeritus.
President Farley recommends that the Board honor Nancy Dinneen with the title, Assistant Professor Emeritus.
