At the December 2000 Board meeting, the Board approved awarding contracts to Davin Electric and Simplex Time Records totaling $128,445 for three buildings (Carnegie, Mabee and Bennett) to begin this project. Subsequent to that action, the Fire Marshal requested we expedite the fire alarm system modification and replacement project by including Stoffer and completing the installation of a fire alarm control panel in the Campus Police Department for the annunciation of alarms from the Living Learning Center, West Hall and Kuehne Hall.
DESCRIPTION: The costs associated with adding Stoffer to the project approved last month are $64,180. The costs associated with installation of the fire alarm control panel in the Campus Police Department are $44,346.22. The fire alarm control panel installation and fiber line will be a change order to the Living Learning Center project to Torgeson Electric Company. Total amount required is $108,526.22.
