Washburn University Board of Regents
SUBJECT: Eminentes Universitatis
Washburn University awards the "Eminentes Universitatis" designation to long-term employees who meet the following requirements: employed as an administrative or classified employee for a period of twenty years or more; retire in good standing; and service performed must be judged to have been meritorious.
Harold Holden, Director of Business Services, has met and exceeded these requirements. Harold began his outstanding career at Washburn in 1963 as Bookstore Manager. After leaving the University in 1970, he returned in 1973 to become the Assistant Business Manager. In 1977, Harold was promoted to Business Manager. As Business Manager his duties included overseeing operations of the Student Union, Service Area, Purchasing, Family Housing, and the University phone system. His title was changed to Director of Business Services in July, 2000.
Harold has weathered many milestones in the University's history including the 1966 tornado. Harold's honesty, integrity, and dedication to Washburn has helped provide the foundation of excellence on which this University has been built. His knowledge and understanding of Washburn has been invaluable to University faculty, staff, and students.

President Farley recommends the Board of Regents approve awarding the designation "Eminentes Universitatis" to Harold Holden.
