SUBJECT: Personnel Actions - Administrative Staff

DESCRIPTION:

Appointment of Barbara Kanelakos as Assistant Director of Educational Services, KTWU, at an annual salary of $32,004. This is a new position, totally grant funded.

Appointment of Thomas S. Wiencek as Safety Coordinator at an annual salary of $45,000. Current budget is $42,660. Additional salary dollars are needed to fill position at more appropriate compensation level.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:

Ms. Kanelakos' contract is to be paid from the 2000-2001 Ready to Learn grant. Continuation of the position is contingent upon renewal of grant funding.

The additional $2,340 for Mr. Wiencek's contract will be transferred from 71000-15-0 Extra Labor and Overtime.

RECOMMENDATION:

President Farley recommends the Board of Regents approve the appointment of Ms. Kanelakos at an annual salary of $32,004; and Mr. Wiencek at an annual salary of $45,000.
