SUBJECT: Training Room - Petro Allied Health Center - Project No. P-0035

DESCRIPTION:

Bids were received on March 22,2000 for a project to relocate the training room in the Petro Allied Health Center. This project was include as a part of the FY 99-00 Capital Improvement Budget and will relocate the Training Room to a larger space and will convert the existing training room into a classroom. The bids for the project were as follows:

General Construction Base BID

Bob Florence Construction Inc. $ 97,878.00

Champion Builders, Inc. $118,500.00

Mechanical Construction

Samco, Inc. $ 27,440.00

Youngs, Inc. $ 36,500.00

Electrical Construction

ACE Electric - Jones Co., Inc $ 15,700.00

All bids were below budget estimate.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:

Expenditure of $141,018.00 from Capital Improvement account 03-00302

RECOMMENDATION:

President Farley recommends the Board of Regents approve the award of a contracts to Bob Florence Contractor Inc. for $97,878.00, Samco, Inc. for $27,440.00 and ACE Electric - Jones Co., Inc. for $15,700.00 to complete the Training Room relocation project in the Petro Allied Heath Center.
