SUBJECT: CHANGES IN MEMBERSHIP OF GRADUATE COMMITTEE
Description:
The attached includes proposed changes to the Membership of the Graduate Committee. The changes are necessary for the following reasons:
1.) The addition of the MLS degree
2.) The current number of graduate programs allows a better balance of representation from all academic units than it did when the Committee was first formed. Due to this, the process for selection of the at-large members should be changed to guarantee representation from all units.
The University Council approved the proposal on April 12, 2001.
The General Faculty approved the proposal April 25, 2001.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
None.
RECOMMENDATION:
President Farley recommends Board of Regents approval of the changes in membership of the Graduate Committee.
