DESCRIPTION:
At the end of the first summer semester, 2000, Bruce Levine will retire as Professor of the School of Law after 30 years of service to Washburn University. He received his law degree in 1962 from Brooklyn Law School and his LL.M in 1969 from NYU.
He has been recognized four times by the graduating seniors as recipient of the William O. Douglas Outstanding Professor of the Year Award. His primary teaching responsibilities have been Contracts, Federal Income Tax, Taxation of Corporations, and Remedies.
The title Professor Emeritus is recommended in recognition of Bruce Levine's long and distinguished career and for his outstanding service to the community, the School of Law and Washburn University.

RECOMMENDATION:
President Farley recommends that the Board honor Bruce Levine with the title Professor Emeritus.
