SUBJECT: Purchase of Netstations

DESCRIPTION:

Purchase of netstations and monitors.

Requests for bids were received in June, 1999 to purchase netstations, with the provision that the University reserved the right to negotiate with the successful supplier for purchases in 2000-2001. Icon Office Equipment was the successful bidder and has not increased the price for Fiscal Year 2000-2001.

Icon Office Equipment $1065.00/unit base

Overland Park, KS $330.00/unit monitor

Based on previous history for the University's needs for netstations and monitors, the administration seeks to purchase up to 100 additional netstations and monitors through fiscal year 2001 at the unit price specified from budgeted funds available.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:

Funds are budgeted for this purchase in the Building and Construction Fund account 03-00304, and from departmental funds. The cost is within the approved budget for FY 2001.

RECOMMENDATION:

President Jerry Farley recommends the Board of Regents approve the purchase of netstations and monitors from Icon Office Solutions.
