BOARD OF REGENTS
MINUTES
June 28, 1996

I. Vice-Chairperson Parks called the meeting of the Board of Regents to order at
8:35 a.m. in Room 204 of Morgan Hall.
II. Present were: Mr. Ferrell, Mr. Maag and Mrs. Parks. Those in attendance via a
conference call connection were: Mr. Dick, Dr. Robinson and Mr. Roth.
III. New Business
Presidential Search Consulting Firm
Mr. Maag reported on firms which specialize in university presidential searches. He
and Mr. Dick had met recently with representatives from two additional firms who did
not make presentations at the last Board meeting, Korn-Ferry and Heidrick-Struggles.
It was moved and seconded to retain Miss Jan Greenwood of Heidrick-
Struggles as consultant for the Washburn University Presidential Search and
to fund the total cost of the presidential search using a transfer from Account
#01-78597 (General Contingency) to Account #01-61125 (Presidential
Search Expenses). Motion passed unanimously.
It was moved and seconded to adjourn. The Washburn Board of Regents adjourned its
meeting at 8:45 a.m.
