                                    MINUTES
                                 July 13, 1994

I.  Chairperson Ferrell called the meeting to order at 7:21 p.m. in
    the Kansas Room of the Memorial Union.  Present were:  Messrs.
    Ferrell, Felker, Maag and Roth, and Mmes. Hines, Parks and
    Porter.

III.   Approval of Minutes

    It was moved and seconded to approve the Minutes of the June 22,
    1994 meting as circulated.  Motion passed unanimously.

IV. New Business

    A. 1994-95 Budget

       It was moved and seconded to give the University Treasurer
       authority as required by law to publish the 1994-95 budget. 
       Motion passed unanimously.

    C. Disposal of "Caretakers Residence"

       It was moved and seconded to approve contracting with Champney
       Wrecking Co. to dispose of the "Caretakers Residence" at a cost
       not to exceed $1,095.00.  Motion passed unanimously.

    D. Employee Exchange Agreement

       It was moved and seconded to ratify the Employee Exchange
       Agreement.  Motion passed unanimously.

    Other New Business

    1. KTWU Program Assessment for FY 1995

       It was moved and seconded to approve the payment of KTWU's PBS
       Program Assessment for FY 1995.  Motion passed unanimously.

    2. Administrative Personnel

       a.   It was moved and seconded to approve the appointment of
            Sharon Graham to the position of Director of the Division
            of Continuing Education at an annual basic salary of
            $52,500 effective August 15, 1994.  Motion passed
            unanimously.

       b.   It was moved and seconded to approve the appointment of
            Daniel "Ben" Marshall to the position of Director of
            Informational Services at an annual basic salary of
            $30,000 effective July 18, 1994.  Motion passed
            unanimously.




    E. Financial Report

       It was moved and seconded to approve agenda items E.1. and
       E.2., Liquidated Claims Approval and Depository Security
       Transactions.  Motion passed unanimously.


It was moved and seconded to adjourn.  Motion passed.  The Board of Regents
meeting adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
