SUBJECT: Demolition of Carruth Hall

DESCRIPTION:

Bids were received on July 29, 1999 to demolish Carruth Hall. This project is part of the new Living Learning Center and is to prepare the site for the new building.

Three bids were received. They were as follows:

Meier and Co. Inc. $62,500.23

Champney Wrecking $49,100.00

McPherson Wrecking $46,480.00

All bids were below budget estimate.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:

Expenditure of $46,480.00 from Living Learning Center account 03-00531

RECOMMENDATION:

President Farley recommends the Board of Regents approve the award of a contract to McPherson Wrecking, Inc. for $46,480.00 for Demolition of Carruth Hall.
