NOTICE
     
     
The Washburn University Board of Regents will be meeting in a day-long
Retreat, Saturday, August 29, 1998, at the International House on the 
University's campus.  The Retreat will begin at 8:00 a.m following a  
7:30 a.m.. continental breakfast for Regents and staff.   There is no 
formal agenda and no action is intended to be taken.  Topics of 
discussion are the budget process, the proposed leadership program 
introduced at its June, 1998  meeting and proposed new residential facility.
     
Notice is being provided of this Retreat to ensure compliance with the 
Kansas Open Meetings Act.
