SUBJECT: Plant Material Installation at College Avenue Mall
DESCRIPTION:
The College Avenue Mall landscape project is ready for the installation of plant material.
Bids were received from: Horticultural Services, Inc.
Blackburn Nursery
Herynk's Greenhouse
Skinner's Nursery
The bid submitted by Horticultural Services, Inc. was substantially lower than the other bids. University staff inspected the nursery stock to insure it is of high quality and that the firm can perform adequately. The bid appears satisfactory in every respect.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Expenditure of $93,780.35 from Capital Fund Account 03-00302, budgeted for this purpose.
RECOMMENDATION:
President Farley recommends to the the Board of Regents to award contract to Horticultural Services, Inc. for $93,093.00 to install plant material at the College Avenue Mall landscape improvement.
