SUBJECT: Modification & Replacement of Fire Alarm System - Project No. P-9809

DESCRIPTION: The Capital Improvement Projects plan includes a multi-year project to modify and replace the fire alarm system in several of the buildings on campus. Carnegie, Mabee, Bennett and Stoffer were completed last year. Additional funds were included in the FY 01-02 budget to complete this multi-year project. There are sufficient funds allocated to complete Henderson Learning Resource Center this year.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: Expenditure of $158,295 from Capital Improvement account # 03-00302.

RECOMMENDATION: President Farley recommends the Board of Regents approve the award of contracts to Davin Electric for $ 67,400 and Simplex Time Records for $ 90,895 to make modifications and replacement of fire alarm system in Henderson Learning Resource Center.
