SUBJECT: Personnel Action - Administrative Staff

DESCRIPTION:

Reallocation of duties and responsibilities of the three Coordinators within the Center for Learning and Student Success (CLASS) to allow for joint directorship.

It is proposed that the titles of Don Vest, currently Coordinator of Counseling and Testing; James Gourley, currently Coordinator of Career Services; and Martha McCoy, currently Coordinator of Academic Advising be changed to Co-Director, CLASS. The duties and responsibilities of the Director's position, previously held by Camille Consolvo, were reassigned to the three coordinators in August, 2001, when Dr. Consolvo moved from Topeka.

The salaries are proposed to be increased as follows:

Don Vest current salary $53,604 Proposed $62,604

James Gourley current salary $46,704 Proposed $55,704

Martha McCoy current salary $43,944 Proposed $52,944

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:

Additional funding for these increases to come from 41500-01-1.

RECOMMENDATION:

President Farley recommends the Board of Regents approve the changes in title and salary for Don Vest, James Gourley and Martha McCoy.
